The history of the United States is a history of war. The history of the world is a history of war.

Periods of downtime between wars have largely been devoted to licking wounds and reloading for the next one.

If ever we achieve world peace, I dont think it would last more than a generation as ravages of war fade and the sagas of battlefield glory resurrect once again.

Is it fair to say that after a few millenia of "civilization" that war is in the DNA, that it is a manifestation of human nature?
